At Pulp Kitchen Catering, food is our passion; its what we do! We love to provide food that is rich in flavour, captures the taste buds and exceeds expectations. Our team of chefs have years of experience, boundless energy and plenty of fresh ideas. Their skill and passion enables us to design a menu that will meet the needs of any event or occasion in every respect.

We work hard to provide the perfect menu and offer three convenient ways for you to order. Either enquire today for something truly unique, select your own using our daily menu options, or simply trust us with our chef’s choice menu to suit the occasion.

Our People

Director / ChefSimone Watson

Simone trained as a chef in Christchurch and moved to Auckland to work for some of the most renowned chefs and restaurants. She opened her own business in Ponsonby, establishing one of the first Noodle Bars in NZ. She has a particular interest in nutrition and special dietary requirements She is an extremely creative chef and it is her passion that drives the innovative catering and café menus.

Director / ChefMark Fernhout

Mark has travelled the world as a chef and utilised his skills in some of the world’s finest hotels and restaurants. Prior to the purchase of Pulp Kitchen Catering he was employed at the Crowne Plaza as the Executive Sous Chef running both Canterbury Tales and Victoria Street Café. His expertise is planning and organising some of our bigger events.

We have catered for the following events with Mark leading the team. Conferences for up to 500 participants. Catering the film crew for Gaylene Preston Productions. This included breakfast, lunch and dinner over a three month period at various locations throughout Canterbury. Catering for a USA Government delegation at an official function on the fourth floor at Solid Energy when the 2011 earthquake struck.
